Maintenance Tips
Keeping your bathroom looking beautiful is simple with just a few minutes of daily care. Like any area in your home, regular upkeep helps maintain its charm and extends its life. Follow these easy tips to keep your bathroom fresh and spotless.
Toilet Maintenance
To keep your toilet clean and long-lasting, scrub it daily using a plastic-bristled brush and a cleaner like Harpic. After flushing, make sure to clean thoroughly to prevent stains and maintain hygiene. Keep a toilet brush nearby for easy access. For Vitreous China Sanitaryware, such as Silware toilets, treat water deposits and discoloration with a dilute hydrochloric acid solution when necessary. Once a week, wipe the surface with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Avoid harsh abrasives and maintain a regular cleaning routine to preserve both the look and performance of your toilet.
Wash Basin
To keep your wash basin spotless, clean it daily using a mild detergent. After cleaning, dry it completely to avoid water stains—especially on darker surfaces. With regular care, your basin will stay fresh and enhance the overall look of your bathroom.
Concealed Wall-Hung Toilet
To ensure a perfect installation of concealed wall-hung fixtures, follow these key guidelines:
Projection from Finished Wall: If the wall will have 12 mm plaster and 6–7 mm tiles, make sure the bolts extend exactly 66 mm from the finished wall surface.
Adjustments for Thinner Walls: For walls with less plaster or tile thickness, use spacer washers between the bolt head and bracket frame to maintain correct bolt alignment.
Floor Placement: Set the bracket into the floor so that the distance from the bolt centerline to the finished floor is 320 mm.
Following these steps ensures a secure fit and a clean, professional look for your concealed wall-hung installation.
Installation and Care Guidelines
For a smooth and durable installation of concealed wall-hung fixtures, follow these essential tips:
Wash Basin Installation: Use cast iron (C.I.) brackets with rag bolts to mount wash basins, with or without pedestals. For larger basins, support them with a pedestal securely fixed to the floor.
Wall-Mounted E.W.C. Installation: Use C.I. chair brackets along with heavy-duty rag bolts, caps, rubber bushes, and outlet couplers to ensure a firm and stable installation.
Floor-Mounted E.W.C. Installation: Securely fix floor-mounted E.W.C. units using screws. Do not fill the hollow portion with cement, as this may cause damage.
Maintenance: Wipe surfaces regularly with a dry cloth or use a mild detergent. If needed, clean with a diluted hydrochloric acid solution, but avoid harsh, abrasive cleaners.
Cleaning Tips: Do not use wire brushes or hard-bristled brushes, as these can scratch and damage the surface of your sanitary ware.
By following these tips, you can maintain the beauty and performance of your fixtures for years to come.
